Why Amsterdam drives for it
Fogg’s runs fleet preventive-maintenance programs for Amsterdam and Mohawk Valley fleets — 20 minutes east on Route 5 to 27 bays in Scotia. Per-vehicle intervals for Route 30 trade trucks and exit 27 distribution vans, batched NYS inspections, one monthly invoice. Two vehicles opens an account; pricing quoted per account.
Amsterdam fleets run older and harder than most — the Route 30 landscapers, roofers and excavators with 150,000-mile diesels, the Thruway exit 27 distributors with cargo vans on Mohawk Valley routes, the city’s own contractors on Route 5 to Schenectady and Albany every day.
Keeping that iron working beats replacing it, and a preventive program is how: intervals set per unit by miles and engine hours, fuel filters and fluids on schedule, brake lines and frames checked for the brine corrosion that fails an inspection, and a down unit that jumps the queue.
We are 20 minutes east on Route 5.
A coordinator stages two or three units at a time — drop at 7:30 AM, back the same day — and every visit logs fluids, pad thickness, tire depth, battery test and codes to that vehicle, rolling into one consolidated monthly invoice with cost-per-unit.
NYS inspections ($21 per light vehicle; heavy vehicles differ) are batched by expiry date. Purchase-order billing is available for the municipal and non-profit accounts along the Mohawk. Two work vehicles is enough to start, and pricing is quoted once we have seen the fleet.

Getting here from Amsterdam
Route 5 east along the Mohawk — out of the city past Cranesville and Hoffmans, into Glenville as Amsterdam Rd, then into Scotia.
Turn left onto Route 50 (Saratoga Rd) at the Mohawk Ave light and the Fogg’s Automotive campus is about a mile and a half up.
From the South Side, Route 5S east to Rotterdam Junction and the Route 103 bridge gets you onto Route 5 without crossing the city. About 20 minutes; the Thruway from Exit 27 to Exit 26 is longer and tolled.

Need fleet pm programs handled — worth the drive from Amsterdam?
Book before you head out and we'll have your bay waiting — most work is finished the same day, so it's one 20-minute trip, not two.
01Our Amsterdam trucks are old — is a preventive-maintenance program worth it on high-mileage vehicles?
That is where it pays most. On a 150,000-mile diesel, the difference between a fuel filter on schedule and an injector-pump failure is thousands of dollars and a week of downtime. We set intervals to each truck’s age and use, tell you honestly which units are worth investing in, and track cost-per-unit so the replace-or-repair decision is made on numbers.
02How many vehicles do we need to open a fleet account?
Two. If keeping vehicles on the road affects your revenue, you qualify — a contractor with two vans is a fleet account here, with the same per-unit records, batching, and monthly invoice as an account with 200 units.
03What does a fleet PM visit include and what does it cost?
An A visit is oil and filter to spec plus a measured inspection — brake thickness, tread depth, battery test, fluids, lights, belts, hoses — with photos logged to the unit. For most gas vans and pickups the oil service is $49–$69, with volume pricing set per account; the $21 NYS inspection is folded into the annual visit.
04How do you keep track of each vehicle’s service intervals?
Every unit gets a digital record keyed to its VIN and your unit number. We schedule by mileage from your telematics odometer reports or driver mileage, send due notices by unit, and track NYS inspection expirations on a calendar we share with you. The history exports per vehicle for resale, warranty, or an audit.
05Can you bill our fleet management company instead of us?
Yes — and electronically. Fogg’s is on AutoIntegrate, the authorization platform the large fleet-management companies use, so for vehicles managed by Enterprise Fleet Management, Element and other FMCs we submit the estimate through AutoIntegrate, the FMC approves it, and the FMC pays us directly; several of our accounts already run this way. For other managed or national-account vehicles we submit estimates and invoices through the FMC’s purchase-order process and bill them directly, with VIN, unit number, and odometer on every line. Vehicles you own outright go on one consolidated monthly invoice with net-30 terms for approved accounts.
