Fleet Preventive Maintenance Programs in Colonie & Latham, NY

Fogg’s runs fleet preventive-maintenance programs for Colonie and Latham fleets — airport shuttles, Wolf Rd corporate pools, Albany-Shaker Rd service vans — 25 minutes west to 27 bays in Scotia. Per-vehicle intervals, staged drop-offs, batched NYS inspections, FMC and consolidated monthly billing. Two vehicles opens an account; quoted per account.

PM visits are priced per vehicle class from the same published ranges as our customer-pay services — oil and filter $49–$69 for most gas vehicles, diesel quoted by engine, brakes $189–$429 per axle, NYS inspection at the state-regulated $21 — with volume pricing set per account. Call the fleet desk at (518) 348-7764 for a rate sheet.

A-level PM visits same-day, typically under two hours per unit; multi-vehicle drops staged across the day.

Colonie’s fleets are the Capital Region’s most varied: hotel and parking shuttles looping Albany International Airport, corporate pool cars from the Wolf Rd and Albany-Shaker Rd office parks, courier and medical-supply vans working Route 7 and the Northway, and the service fleets that keep Latham’s subdivisions running.

What they share is a coordinator who manages vehicles as one of six jobs.

Our program takes the scheduling off that desk: intervals set per unit by its actual duty cycle, visits staged two or three at a time, and a reminder when a unit or an inspection sticker is due.

Each visit logs fluids, pad thickness, tire depth, battery test, codes and inspection expiry to that vehicle, feeding one consolidated monthly invoice with cost-per-unit — or your FMC or purchase order, where corporate or agency billing requires it.

NYS inspections ($21 per light vehicle) are batched in. A down unit jumps the queue; most preventive and brake visits return the same day via Route 7 or I-890.

The United States Postal Service runs on this program with us; two work vehicles is enough to start, and pricing is quoted once we have seen the fleet.

Getting here from Colonie & Latham

Two ways. Route 7 (Troy-Schenectady Rd) west from Latham through Niskayuna into Schenectady, then Erie Blvd to Freemans Bridge Rd, across the river and onto Route 50 north — all surface roads, about 25 minutes.

Or from Wolf Rd and the airport, the Northway south to I-90 west, Thruway Exit 25 onto I-890 west, exit at Route 5 / State St, cross the Western Gateway Bridge into Scotia and turn right onto Route 50.

Fifteen miles either way; Route 7 wins outside rush hour.

Questions

Why would a Latham company send its fleet 25 minutes to Scotia instead of a shop on Route 7?

Capacity and records.

Twenty-seven bays mean your staged batch goes in and comes out the same day instead of trickling through a four-bay shop over a week, and every unit’s history — measurements, costs, inspection dates — is kept in a form your fleet coordinator or FMC can audit.

Route 7 to Freemans Bridge Rd is 25 minutes against the commute.

How many vehicles do we need to open a fleet account?

Two. If keeping vehicles on the road affects your revenue, you qualify — a contractor with two vans is a fleet account here, with the same per-unit records, batching, and monthly invoice as an account with 200 units.

What does a fleet PM visit include and what does it cost?

An A visit is oil and filter to spec plus a measured inspection — brake thickness, tread depth, battery test, fluids, lights, belts, hoses — with photos logged to the unit.

For most gas vans and pickups the oil service is $49–$69, with volume pricing set per account; the $21 NYS inspection is folded into the annual visit.

How do you keep track of each vehicle’s service intervals?

Every unit gets a digital record keyed to its VIN and your unit number. We schedule by mileage from your telematics odometer reports or driver mileage, send due notices by unit, and track NYS inspection expirations on a calendar we share with you.

The history exports per vehicle for resale, warranty, or an audit.

Can you bill our fleet management company instead of us?

Yes — and electronically.

Fogg’s is on AutoIntegrate, the authorization platform the large fleet-management companies use, so for vehicles managed by Enterprise Fleet Management, Element and other FMCs we submit the estimate through AutoIntegrate, the FMC approves it, and the FMC pays us directly; several of our accounts already run this way.

For other managed or national-account vehicles we submit estimates and invoices through the FMC’s purchase-order process and bill them directly, with VIN, unit number, and odometer on every line. Vehicles you own outright go on one consolidated monthly invoice with net-30 terms for approved accounts.
