The duty cycle
How Renewal by Andersen puts miles on a vehicle.
An installation fleet moves heavy, fragile product. A box truck loaded with a day’s windows runs near its rated weight, which wears brakes, rear suspension, tires and wheel bearings early, and a rough ride matters when the cargo is glass.
Installations are booked weeks out with homeowners who took the day off, so a truck down on install day is a cancelled job, a rescheduled crew and an unhappy customer. Consultant vehicles are the first impression at the door.
What the program does
Built around that duty cycle, not a calendar.
Preventive maintenance follows the installation calendar: early drop-off, a few units at a time, back the same day. Brakes, suspension, tires and bearings get load-rated intervals, not the factory’s empty-vehicle schedule. Charging and upfit circuits are tested every visit.
Pickup and delivery is included for accounts with ten or more vehicles: we collect units from the yard or route start and return them finished, within about 20 miles of the shop.
A broken truck moves to the front of the line, diagnosed and quoted with photos that day so the crew keeps its next-day install. New York State inspections are tracked by unit and batched by expiration month.
Billing is a consolidated monthly invoice with per-vehicle lines and exportable histories, so fleet cost per unit is visible for the regional office and the replacement cycle. Consultant cars run on the same account with their own intervals.
Questions fleet managers in this trade ask
Do you service home-improvement installation fleets?
Yes — fleet accounts at Fogg’s include Renewal by Andersen’s Capital Region installation and consultant vehicles. Box trucks carrying windows run near their rated weight, so brakes, suspension, tires and bearings are maintained on load-rated intervals and scheduled around the installation calendar.
How do you protect an installation schedule booked weeks out?
Preventive visits are timed between installs — early drop-off, back the same day — and a truck that breaks gets priority repair so the crew keeps its next-day job. Units go in a few at a time, never more than the schedule can spare.
Can you maintain both the box trucks and the consultants’ cars on one account?
Yes. Cutaways and box trucks to 19,500 lbs GVWR, cargo vans, and the cars and SUVs the consultants drive all run on one account with their own intervals, one consolidated monthly invoice, and a per-vehicle history for each.
