Hankook has gone from an unfamiliar name to original equipment on new Fords, Hyundais, Kias, Toyotas and Volkswagens, and the reason is straightforward: the tires are good and the warranties are long for the price.
The Kinergy PT is the standout — a touring all-season with a 90,000-mile treadwear warranty, the longest we routinely install, at a mid-tier price — and it is the tire we quote to a commuter who wants the fewest tire purchases over a car’s life and does not want to pay a premium-brand price to get it.
The Kinergy 4S2 is the all-weather option with the three-peak mountain snowflake, and the Kinergy GT is the OE-replacement line for many Hyundai, Kia and Ford models that came on Hankooks from the factory.
For trucks and SUVs the Dynapro HT is a long-wearing highway tire and the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme is a severe-snow-rated all-terrain with a 60,000-mile warranty that undercuts the premium all-terrains by a meaningful margin while giving up little on gravel or a muddy site.
For winter, Hankook offers both routes: the Winter i*cept iZ2 and evo3 are studless winter tires for cars and SUVs, and the Winter i*pike RS2 is studdable for rural drivers inside New York’s October 16 to April 30 window — one of the more affordable ways to put a studded tire on a car.
For fleets, the Hankook Vantra LT is the value standard on commercial vans — a C-metric and LT commercial tire for Transit, ProMaster, Express and Sprinter vans that costs noticeably less than the premium van lines and holds up to loaded, stop-and-go route work.
On an account that runs a dozen vans, a standardized Vantra LT spec on the classes that do not justify the Agilis or VanContact price keeps tire cost per mile down, and because it is a true commercial tire the load rating is correct for a full van.

Does the Hankook Kinergy PT really last 90,000 miles?
The treadwear warranty is 90,000 miles, the longest we routinely install, and real-world life on Capital Region roads is typically a little under the warranty number — which still makes it one of the lowest cost-per-mile tires we sell.
Getting there takes the free rotations every 5,000–7,500 miles, correct pressure, and an alignment check after a bad pothole.
My Hyundai or Kia came with Hankooks — should I replace them with the same?
It is a reasonable default: the Kinergy GT or the OE-marked Hankook keeps the ride and noise the car was tuned for, and the price is fair.
We will quote it alongside a Michelin or General in the same size so you can see the difference. If the originals wore quickly, say so — some OE tires prioritize fuel economy over tread life, and the aftermarket Kinergy PT lasts far longer.
Is the Hankook Vantra LT a real commercial van tire?
Yes — it is a true C-metric and LT commercial tire with the load index a full Transit, ProMaster or Express requires, not a passenger tire in a van size.
